Village Solicitor

The village legal counsel is not required, but the village council may provide such a position for a period up to two years. Under any of the statutory plans for villages under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 705, the village solicitor is provided, whose duties include approving the form of village contracts and serving as village prosecutor.
